Begin in the centre of town at the Park&Ride car park and turn onto the Savinja Embankment. Then, continue along the Partizanska cesta road, through Lisce on a thrilling and exhilarating road through the forest. After a short descent, at the intersection, turn right and cross the suspension bridge over the Savinja River. Continue riding towards the Vrbje pond. The whole time the path runs along a sandy embankment, nestled between the Savinja River on one side and vast hop fields on the other. At the Vrbje pond, take a bit of time to rest or enjoy the local dining options. Your young ones will surely be delighted by the children’s playground. The return towards Celje follows the sandy path along the banks of the Savinja River again, occasionally branching off onto gravel roads through hop fields, and finally rejoining the Savinja River near the old Celje concrete factory. The final leg of the route leads past the Špica recreational area and back along the Savinja Embankment to the starting point.
