Hotel Evropa

In front of this hotel, the second oldest in the country, you can see a statue of Alma M. Karlin with a suitcase in her hand, immortalising this world traveller. The exterior of the building is built in the classicist style and exudes elegance, its architecture typical of beautiful Central European cities.

You can choose between standard and superior rooms or a luxury suite. This hotel has been welcoming its guests since 1873. Thanks to their wooden furniture, the otherwise minimalist-style rooms prove warmly cozy. The views from some windows of the hotel extend all the way to the Celje Castle. Both the car park and WiFi are free of charge for all the hotel guests. In 2014, Hotel Evropa was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor.

In addition to the rooms where you recharge your batteries for a day of exploration and enjoyment of the City of the Counts, you can also rent a medieval tower. In the tower that used to be a part of the city’s defensive wall, tradition blends with modernity. It can be rented for official gatherings, evening parties, banquets, celebrations or wedding ceremonies. The interior of the tower takes you back to the Middle Ages, while the sophisticated cuisine helps you and your loved ones create memories for the future.

On the Hotel Evropa’s ground floor you will find a very popular café. There, you can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, a hearty brunch or a delicious lunch. With your cup of fragrant coffee, don’t forget to order one or two of those delicious cakes made by our great in-house confectioners. The Black Forest Cake proves to be the most popular choice by the locals.
