Šmartinsko Lake is a popular recreational spot for the people of Celje and an important habitat for various animal species at the same time.
A combination of road and trekking cycling, suitable for families.
The artificial lake with 11 km of shoreline was created in 1970, as a reservoir to control the torrential waters, mainly from the Koprivnica and Jezernikov graben streams. In addition to its original function as a flood reservoir, the lake and its surroundings have become a popular area for sports enthusiasts, tourists and for anyone looking for a relaxing walk.
