📅 During summer weekends, the castle transforms into a vibrant medieval setting, taking visitors back to the time of the Counts of Celje, knightly skills, crafts, games, and everyday castle life.
🏕️ Visitors will be able to step inside a medieval tent, discover historical equipment and customs, try medieval games, or join a traditional circle dance. Instead of a classic guided tour, guests can enjoy a relaxed and immersive experience where the past no longer feels distant, but becomes part of the castle’s daily life.
🎭 Living History at Celje Castle is designed as an open, accessible, and family-friendly event. Visitors can spontaneously stop by during the animations, participate in activities, or simply observe the lively atmosphere of the medieval world. ⏰ The event takes place every Saturday and Sunday
in July and August, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
🎟️ Medieval animations are included in the regular admission ticket price.
🌧️ In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
