The Savinja River is an important element of Celje and its story.
Therefore, putting the river as a one of the highlights of the city’s happenings and visitors’ socialising within the 2009 “Summer in Celje, the City of the Counts” project has been fully justified. The City Beach is located near the Provincial Museum. In the summer, concerts, theatre and other events take place every day on the lawn otherwise intended for daily relaxation.
