The Celje Central Library has perhaps one of the most beautiful locations in town – on the banks of the Savinja River.
After decades of operation at a number of scattered locations, the new building was completed in 2010 to house all library departments. The visitors are allowed free access to most of the library stock and offered free internet access. The placement between the old city centre and the Savinja riverbank has proven conducive to a lively cultural and social verve.
