Let us turn the time machine’s lever all the way back to ancient Celeia, a flourishing ancient Roman city also named “The Second Troy” and take you on a trip though the city beneath the city. Next, a journey through the medieval history of Celje, when the Counts of Celje were one of the most influential ruling dynasties of the old Continent. The former homes of the famous Counts, the Princely Palace and the Celje Castle are filled with interesting stories, as are the exhibitions available. While taking a trip with the Celje time machine, we will make a few stops in the present here and there and enjoy the modern city life.
The programme includes:
- a guided tour of the city;
- a visit of the Living in Celje exhibition at the Museum of Recent History Celje (Muzej novejše zgodovine Celje);
- entrance fee to the Museum of Recent History Celje;
- entrance fee to Celje Castle.
