DUO FLAUCCORD

Duo Flauccord is comprised of flutist Sofija Mihailović and accordionist Kiara Janko. They began working together in 2023 under the mentorship of Professor Borut Zagoranski.
In March 2024, they won first prize, 100 points, and a special award for the best interpretation of Frederic Unterfinger’s Vitæ Coloris (I – Cristal) at the national TEMSIG competition. In August 2024, they performed as part of the Young Talents series organized by Imago Sloveniae, at a concert of selected laureates at the City Museum of Ljubljana. In 2025, they appeared in the 32nd Young Virtuosi series under the auspices of the Ljubljana Festival.
Sofija Mihailović is a third-year undergraduate student at the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana, in the class of Professor Matej Zupan. After completing her studies at the Elly Bašić Music School in Zagreb, Kiara Janko continued at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana with Professor Borut Zagoranski. She is currently on exchange in Vienna, studying with Professor Grzegorz Stopa at the Music and Arts Private University of Vienna.
