The route begins at the popular recreational area of Šmartinsko Lake in Celje and leads towards the village of Šmartno v Rožni dolini. The climb up Kunigunda begins on a paved road, which transitions into a gravel road in the second half. On the way up, stop to rest in the shelter of the beautiful pine forest and enjoy the cool shade it provides. At the top of Kunigunda, where a mountain hut is located (open on Sundays and public holidays) your efforts will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views in every direction. Descending from the summit, you reach the saddle, where the cycle path continues along the ridge of the hill. The circular route takes us back to the starting point at Šmartinsko Lake, passing through the village of Slatina.
